Your Uniqueness Matters

Your Uniqueness.jpg

"Respect yourself, love yourself, because there has never been a person like you and there never will be again."

-Osho

Do you compare yourself with others? Approximately 7.8 billion people are living in the world and no one's fingerprint is the same. That means each person is unique. In other words, no one is a copy of another one because each one is gifted by a special skill. Probably you are comparing the skills in your head right now. Let me stop you there. No one is more important than another. You need to change your point of view first. Comparing people by their skills seems like comparing apples and oranges. For instance, a scientist can save millions of lives by a vaccine, a doctor can save a patient's life, a writer can inspire you to solve your problem with a different approach by an article, and your neighbor can boost your mood by chatting. How can you compare those people's skills?

When you try to be someone else instead of being yourself, you hide your special skill from others. However,

the world needs you the way you are. You are like a piece of a big puzzle. If you don't show the real you, the world will never be whole.

Do you think that you don't have any special skills? It is impossible. You only need to know yourself better and find out your unique talent. First, you need to stop all noise in your head. That noise comes from other people's opinions, the general definition of success, some false beliefs you owned a long time ago, and your old wounds. After you ceased the noises, you are ready to search for your uniqueness. There are a few ways to find it out. First, you might start journaling. Take notes of the highlights of the day. For example, what were you doing when you felt happy, what did you do when you felt useful, what did you do when you felt proud or satisfied. Those notes give you some clues about the real you. Second, go back to your childhood memories. The times that you were invincible like a superhero and free like a bird. What were your dreams for the future, what was making you feel successful, and what was your passion? Try to remember them and write them down in your journal, too. Third, you can get some help from your friends and family. You might ask them about your best traits. Try to learn your uniqueness up to them. Write down their answers in your journal, too. As you see, you have many clues to find your uniqueness now. Take your time and enjoy the journey of self-exploration. Be nice to yourself and be patient when you are discovering your true self.

You would never know how many of us will be inspired by you if you never show your true colors. Enjoy your uniqueness, and shine brightest than ever.

Love & many blessings,
